About the Artist: Amber Waboose (Odemin Mkwaa Kwe) is from Batchewana First Nation, Ontario Canada. She is of ojibwe descent and takes pride in her culture. She began expressing her Indigenous identity and pride through the arts. Her interest in art began as a child. Growing up she had much exposure to nature, artistic family members, local artists, and elders. Her artistry includes painting, digital illustrations, and porcupine quillwork. She embraces her changes in growth through her artwork.
