This antique 15ct Gold Opal Diamond bangle is an exquisite find. Your eye is instantly captivated by a 2.00ct Opal cabochon infused with zingy greens and flashes of fiery orange, haloed by scintillating old-mine cut Diamonds for a truly show-stopping cluster.

This breathtaking bangle has been crafted with a sumptuous 15ct Gold, with both old-mine cut and rose-cut Diamonds set in Silver, totalling 1.10ct. This late Victorian bangle wears beautifully on the wrist, with a dainty structure that makes her comfortable to wear!

ERA: Victorian c.1900. 

MEASUREMENTS: The bangle has an inner circumference of 7" or 18cm.
The bangle is 2mm wide at the back.
The Opal is 9.5mm long x 6.5mm wide, weighing approx 2.00ct.
Old-Mine cut Diamonds in cluster are 2.2mm in diameter, weighing approx 0.48ct. 
Rose-Cut Diamonds are 1.8mm in diameter, weighing approx 0.60ct.***
Total Diamond weight approx. 1.10ct.

STAMPS: This piece was likely stamped at a later date with 585 & METAL inside the bangle, metal refers to the base of the Opal setting.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

Condition:

EXCELLENT. This antique 15ct Gold Opal Diamond bangle is offered in excellent condition. The Opal is secured within its setting and is free from nibbles or chips. The Diamonds are sparkly, securely set, and have been beautifully hand-cut. The 15ct Gold is lustrously shiny and has remained unscathed over the years. There is a mark on the back of the bangle from where the piece has been previously resized, but the Gold is smooth and the resizing has been professionally carried out. The bangle features a subtle clasp providing you with a secure and comfortable closure, with added protection from the safety chain.
