Antique Edwardian 9ct gold fob pendant, featuring a slices of Carnelian and Bloodstone. These stones were commonly used in fobs and often had family crests carved into them, they would have been worn on a gentleman's watch chain mostly for decoration. The stones are set in 9ct rose gold, with chain detailing, the central piece can turn all the way round.
The carnelian stone has a rich deep red colour and the blood stone is a dark green with flecks of red in it. Both of the stones are smooth and cold to touch.
HALLMARKS
The hallmarks on this piece indicate the fob is 9ct gold hallmarked in Birmingham in 1915-1916, indicated by a '9', '375', 'Anchor', Letter 'q'. The makers mark is 'JTJ'.
MEASUREMENTS
The necklace measures 2.9cm / 1.1" in height (including the finding), 1.8cm / 0.7" in length and 0.7cm in width. The necklaces hangs from a new 18" 9ct gold chain.
CONDITION
The pendant is in excellent antique condition.
